32 Years.
Deep Roots.
One Obsession.
"I don't just sell land. I understand it. I study it. I invest in it. And after 32 years, I can look at a parcel and see what it can become, not just what it is."

How the Dirt Dawg Got His Name
Kris McGee started his commercial real estate career in 1993 and never looked back. Over three decades, he's closed deals across land, industrial, retail, mobile home parks, RV parks, self-storage, and everything in between. But land has always been his first love.
The "Dirt Dawg" nickname didn't come from a marketing team. It came from years of getting his boots dirty, literally and figuratively. Walking sites, reading soil reports, understanding entitlement processes, and knowing the difference between land that looks good on paper and land that actually pencils out.
Today, Kris is based in Pittsboro, NC, and operates nationally through eXp Commercial, with a particular focus on the intersection of land investment and the exploding data center market. He's not just watching the data center revolution. He's actively sourcing and selling land for it.
The Dirt Dawg Way
Kris operates on a simple principle: clarity beats certainty every time. You don't need to know exactly what's going to happen in the market. You need to know what you're holding, why you're holding it, and what it can become.
He's not a cheerleader. He's not going to tell you every deal is a great deal. He's going to tell you the truth. Because 32 years of doing this has taught him that the truth, delivered clearly and early, is the most valuable thing a real estate advisor can offer.
He writes the From The Dirt Up newsletter because he believes in sharing what he knows. Real estate insights, market intelligence, and the kind of straight talk that only comes from decades of getting your hands dirty. No fluff. No filler. Just signal.
